In 2006 wordt het Vaste Land verlaten met het perspectief van Satellieteiland, het kunsteiland voor de kust van Zuid-Holland. Op Satellieteiland wordt het cultureel scenario voor de toekomst ontwikkeld. De Satellietgroep nodigt kunstenaars, wetenschappers en kustgebruikers uit voor deelname aan het project.

Maak je concept voor de Expeditie zichtbaar in een waterdichte fles of op een etiket. fles_en_post kan worden afgeleverd op de Kunstvlaai of digitaal naar info@satellietgroep.nl (max1 MB). Alle fles_en_post wordt gepresenteerd in het speciale bouwhuis van de Satellietgroep tijdens de Kunstvlaai 6 –14 mei, Westergasfabriekterrein  Amsterdam.

 

In 2006 the Main Land is left behind with the perspective of Satellite Island, the art(ificial) island located near the coast of Zuid-Holland.The main aim of Satellite Island is to develop the cultural scenario for the future.  The Satellietgroep invites artists, scientists and coastal daytrippers to participate in the project. Develop a cultural service, strategy or product for the Expedition from the Main Land to Satellite Island.

Put your concept for the Expedition in a watertide bottle or on an etiquette, deliver it to the Kunstvlaai, or by email to info@satellietgroep.nl (max 1MB). All bottle_art will be exposed in the special building-unit of the Satellietgroep during the Kunstvlaai 6 –14  mei Westergasfabriekterrein  Amsterdam.

Satellieteiland is founded 1 Januari  2006 as a transition art project. The main aim of Satellite Island is to create a future from the visionary perspective of the arts based on a void in history. Satellite Island is a laboratory and catalyst for contemporary cultural interventions and art practices, and critically explores the tensions in local cultural practices and global art circuits.

Satellieteiland welcomes original projects and accepts proposals from students, artists, artists' initiatives, architects and collectives, and independent curators.

Visiting artists will be encouraged to develop collaborative projects. The definition

of collaboration will be open to all media, disciplines and formats.

 

De Kunstvlaai is de alternatieve kunstbeurs. Met presentaties van zo’n 70 kunstinstellingen als kunstenaarsinitiatieven en internationale Masteropleidingen.
